Shuka
A marketplace where Armenian makers sell ceramics, textiles and food to buyers abroad, with one cart across many shops.
This is a concept project: a realistic brief I planned and designed to show how I work. It does not describe a past client or claim client results.
The brief
Small makers sell through Instagram and Facebook messages, lose orders in chats and can't take card payments from abroad. The brief: a marketplace where each maker runs a shop, buyers check out once for several shops, and payouts are split automatically.
Approach
- 01Used Medusa as the commerce engine instead of building orders, carts and inventory from scratch.
- 02Split payments with Stripe Connect so each maker is paid directly and the platform fee is taken automatically.
- 03Made the storefront static where possible, so product pages load instantly on slow mobile connections.
Key features
- Seller onboarding and shop pages
- One checkout across several shops
- Automatic split payouts
- Search with typo tolerance in three languages
- Shipping rules per seller
- Order dashboard for makers
